Lagos State Lawmakers have reiterated their unflinching support for the first female Speaker of the House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda by passing a vote of confidence on her leadership
This was at a plenary presided over by the Speaker in Lagos.
The Lawmakers insist that the recent change in leadership and emergence of Honourable Mojisola Meranda remained the consensus of the entire membership of the Lagos House of Assembly.
This is coming few hours after some plain cloth security operatives reportedly besieged the House of Assembly complex and tried to prevent the lawmakers from holding plenary at the Chamber.
Report said the armed security personnel had taken over the premises of the Assembly Complex at Alausa, Ikeja and environs.
Recall that the immediate past Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa, was impeached few weeks ago the development which created crisis in the house, with Obasa rejecting it.
