ZSG Drags Zannan Bungudu, 3 Others to Court

Zamfara State High Court IV sitting in Gusau has adjourned the case filed by the state Government and some three others against the Inspector General of Police, Zannan Bungudu and three others for alleged infringement of human rights, to fourteenth April 2025 for hearing.

The Presiding Justice, Bello Gummi, announced the adjournment after hearing from both the prosecution and the defense Counsel to suit.

The Suit was filled by Zamfara state Government against the inspector General of Police, Zamfara state Commissioner of Police, Member representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency,Abdulmalik Zubairu and some two others at the State High Court, for alleged violation of human rights.

According to the Director accused Sirajo Abdullahi and the Director of Public Prosecution Muhammad Aminu both of Zamfara State Ministry of Justice, they were challenging the accused for alleged illegal arrest of some operatives of the Zamfara Community Protection Guards in February 2025.


After hearing from both the prosecution and the defense Counsel, the presiding Judge Justice Bello Gummi announced the adjournment of the case to Monday fourteenth April for further hearing.

Speaking on behalf of defence Counsel, Barrister Muhammad Bashar said the case was adjourned to allow other Counsel to make their documents ready.

Meanwhile, Premises of the Zamfara state High Court of Justice was full by people especially Supporters of the National Assembly Member, who came to witness the proceeding.
