Zamfara Gets New Comptroller Corrections

The Nigerian Correctional Service, Zamfara state Command, gets new Controller of corrections. He is Controller Musa Tanko who took over the mantle of leadership of the command from DCC Tanko Isah ikoh who was on Acting capacity after the retirement of Controller Shehu İbrahim.

This was contained in a statement issued by Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASC1 Mustapha Abubakar.

The handing and taking over ceremony was done on the 7th, February, 2025 at the Federal Secretariat Complex Gusau.

Controller Musa Is a thoroughbred correctional Administrator, who served in different formations and held various positions in his Career with the Nigerian correctional service. He is a Native of Kaduna state of Nigeria.

The Newly posted Controller until his present appointment was serving as Controller incharge of Operations and also Second in Command to the Zonal Coordinator, Zone B Kaduna.

He holds his first degree in Education and a Masters in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, both from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

He attended several mandatory and professional Courses in and outside the country; notable were the United Kingdom and United States of America in 2014 and 2016 respectively. He has vast administrative and Correctional Experiences.

He was a United Nations Mentor at post Conflict area of Liberia for about two years, 2009 to 2011.

Addressing the Staff, shortly after the Handing and taking over event, Controller Musa charged them to be disciplined, Punctual and dedicated to their duties as well as shun absenteeism from work.

He said that his door remains open for meaningful suggestions from the staff.

CCS Musa thanked the Acting Controller General of Corrections, Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuce MFR mni, for finding him worthy to be appointed as Controller of Corrections Zamfara state Command emphasising that he will justify the Confidence reposed in him, God Willing.

Earlier, the Acting Controller DCC Tanko Isah Ikoh, thanked all staff at Zamfara Command for their hard work, discipline and commitment to duties during his short acting period.
