ZANNAN BUNGUDU COMMENCES PAYMENT N120M AS 2025 BURSARY ALLOWANCE TO CONSTITUENTS
Member House of Representatives representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency Hon. Dr. Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu has embarked on payment of 2025 annual Scholarship to students of Bungudu/Maru local government areas studying in various tertiary institutions in the country.
The development followed approval and subsequent release of One Hundred and Twenty Million Naira to the committee by the the National Assembly Member.
A statement by the Chairman Education/Scholarship Committee office of the lawmaker Mallam Muhammad Lawal Adamu said the disbursement of the Scholarship funds which commenced on Sunday 13th April 2025 at the Constituency office Bungudu saw the payment of 60,000 naira to each of the 18 lecturers handling NTI distance learning program in Bungudu Study Centre and 30,000 naira to each of the 129 students of the centre.
“All the 18 lecturers were given 60,000 naira each and 129 students benefitted with 30,000 naira each”. Lawal added
Under this first phase of the exercise the committee would reach out to students of Federal University Gusau, ZACAS, Zamfara State College of Nursing Sciences Gusau, College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences (CAAS) Bakura, Zamfara State University ZAMSUT Talata Mafara and College of Health Sciences and Technology Tsafe among others.
A statement issued by the Spokesman for the National Assembly Member, Aminu Lawal Bungudu says the gesture is aimed at complementing the effort of parents and guardians in ensuring that their wards have access to tertiary education with relative ease.
